Dental exam or recall exam

Recall exam appointments are regularly scheduled checkup appointments that help dentist to have an ongoing knowledge of the status of their patients.This exam is usually done at every 6 months at your dental hygiene appointment by your Dentist.

During exam following things are done:

1. Visual examination of gums and teeth – Dentist will go over all your teeth and gums to see for any changes. Updated X-rays are examined to diagnose new radiographic findings
2. Yearly oral cancer screening will be done both visually and with VELscope to see any early mucosal changes.
3. Any concerns the patient has regarding their dental health are answered during this appointment.
